Day 1: Delhi Arrival – Delhi Tour
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by our representative at the Delhi airport/your chosen location. Check into the hotel and then head out for a Delhi sightseeing tour. Begin with the Red Fort, also known as Lal Quila. Constructed in the 16th century, the Red Fort was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan when he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi. The fort served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors and is known for its architectural style.
Then, head to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Afterward, have lunch and visit Humayun’s Tomb, the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun, commissioned by his first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, and designed by Persian architects.
Later, drive past the India Gate, followed by the Parliament House. Also, visit the Qutub Minar, a minaret and “victory tower” that forms part of the Qutb complex and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Jaipur. Known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur was founded by Sawai Jai Singh in 1727. Check into the hotel and then head out for a city sightseeing tour. Visit the famous Amber Fort, a magnificent fort complex built using pink and yellow sandstone, and white marble.
Afterward, visit the City Palace, the royal residence of the Jaipur state rulers. Built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1721, it features several courtyards, buildings, pavilions, gardens, and temples. Also, visit the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observation site with 20 main fixed instruments, built in the early 18th century. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Jaipur - Agra
In the morning, have breakfast and then check out from the hotel. Proceed towards Agra. Upon reaching Agra, visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built between 1565 and 1573. The fort, made out of red stone, was where Mughal Emperor Humayun was crowned in 1530. It served as the main residence of the Mughal dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure for Delhi
Get up early in the morning for a visit to the Taj Mahal. One of the most visited sites in the world, the Taj Mahal is in its full glory as the first rays of the sun cast their spell on the white marble structure. It was built by Shah Jahan between 1631 and 1653 in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later, return to the hotel for breakfast, then check out and depart for Delhi.
